Glasgow Distillery Company er et relativt nyt destilleri, men alligevel et destilleri, som har rødder helt tilbage til 1770. I 2013 valgte man, med hjælp fra en professor fra Glasgow Universitet, at genopføre et nyt destilleri inde i Glasgow by - det første i selve byen i over 100 år. Destilleriet blev opført med mange referencer til det originale destilleri fra 1770. I 2018 blev deres første whisky lanceret på verdensmarkedet. Denne skulle selvfølgelig hedde 1770, som reference til det oprindelige destilleri.
