Ron Cartavio XO rom, er en super velsmagende blød solera rom med op til 18 års rom fra Peru. Duften er kompleks og sofistikeret, robust og dog meget blød. Krydret og tørret frugt, vanilje og chokolade. I smagen er der toffee, butterscotch, demerara, honning, vanilje, fersken, appelsinskal, tropefrugt, chokolade, sød tee. Eftersmagen er der karamel, vanilje, smør, nøddeagtig, med en meget lang eftersmag.

Captain Don Domingo de Cartavio, acquired the land where we now find Cartavio in the year 1675 and was responsible for giving this city its name. Moreover, it is assumed that he took his last name from the city Cartavio de Asturias, like many other Spaniards did during this time.
Afterwards, the sugar production company, “Grace Sugar Company”, decided to produce it’s own rum, made from the molasses that were leftovers from the sugar creating process.
Destilerias Unidas, the distillery behind the brand, has history dating back to April 29, 1929, when it began its operations in Ron Cartavio’s plant, founded by “Cartavio Sugar Company”, property of W.R Grace and Co.
